Founder & Designer at My Vote Counts
April 2008Founded in 2008, My Vote Counts is a for profit campaign with initiatives and partnerships akin to non-profit organizations. What started at as an idea for a non-partisan apparel line quickly grew into an international movement. My Vote Counts was developed to use retail quality apparel and merchandise to drive home the point that your vote counts if, and only if, you vote. We've taken a cool yet classic, fashion-forward approach to the time honored tradition of voting. The real power behind the My Vote Counts movement is that we've unearthed and highlighted the real story behind the voter; they are not voting for a candidate based on race, gender or party but rather for someone who supports the issues they care about. Some people would say that their vote counts for doing what is necessary to find a cure for breast cancer; others are passionate for ending the war in Iraq or making sure schools have the funding in place to give their children the best chance at competing in the world.
